enTrader goes live for Gas & Power with Centrica's British Gas Business

enTrader went officially live in November for managing one of the UK’s major business to business energy supplier’s retail portfolio.

British Gas Business (BGB) selected enTrader to manage the energy procurement processes and risk management between BGB and Centrica’s upstream operation, Centrica Energy. enTrader delivered significant time savings compared to the previous approach of using spreadsheets and other manual processes.

enTrader is providing an effective system to transact trade capture, confirmations and contracts, including ‘flex’ contracts. The product includes comprehensive document management and position reporting, with enhanced visualisation of gas and power portfolio trades. Additionally scenario testing, trading limit alerts and alarms ensures a lower risk operation, and a smoother end-to-end business process for Centrica.

Centrica's project manager commented "Centrica chose enTrader due to its flexibility and its energy focus as well as the rapid project implementation time guaranteeing a rapid return on investment".
