Commodities Now provides Contigo's "X-Factor moment"...
Award, 26/Sep/2011 - Jon YeomansWe have just heard that Contigo has been shortlisted in the “CTRM software” category of the prestigious Commodities Now magazine “2011 Commodity Business Awards”.
As you may know, Contigo’s enTrader product, launched in March 2009, is quickly becoming the market leader in addressing both energy retail portfolio management and fuel logistics as well as establishing itself as a serious contender in the ETRM/CTRM space.
We are extremely grateful to our Customers who took the time to nominate us for the award. Below are the details of the nominations that were submitted.
Contigo’s enTrader product fills a gaping hole in the UK CTRM market by being flexible, innovative and easily implemented out of the box.
As a small electricity and gas retailer we were looking for a system able to manage our demand portfolio and hedging strategies, generate and book trades and handle settlement. When we went out to the market we soon realised that existing ETRM systems and vendors were well out of our reach and feared that the only option was to build something ourselves.
However what we found with enTrader was a flexible trading and portfolio management system built on the latest web technology which was easily configured to give us exactly what we wanted. The team at Contigo implemented on time and to budget, with on going support continuing to be quick and effective. enTrader is delivering value for us every day.

Barking Power would like to nominate Contigo in the CTRM software category. This is recognition of our enTrader implementation project carried out by Contigo in 2010.
We faced a significant increase in trading activity due to changes in our commercial contracting. A single replacement for our existing systems was required that would accurately handle power, gas and carbon traded commodities together to simplify position management / reporting and provide one easy to use interface for all users. Having evaluated a number of systems enTrader was selected for its flexibility, robustness and simplicity both of implementation and use.
The system was delivered well ahead of our planned go-live date including a number of customisation and interfaces specific to our needs.
Post go-live, Contigo have provided high quality product support service combined with detailed domain understanding that ensures enTrader continues to deliver value to Barking Power.
