Ovo Energy

Ovo are a new, dynamic player in the UK Power and Gas Retail market and are using enTrader to manage their Gas and Power wholesale trading and manage their energy portfolio. They chose enTrader due to speed of implementation and the flexibility of the solution.

Compagnie Nationale du Rhône

When looking to enter the UK market, CNR chose Contigo’s enVoy software for intra-market communications with the UK market operator. enVoy provides the most comprehensive capability for managing ECVN, by providing management by exception alerting, full position reconciliation, and the ability to directly interface with 3rd party trading systems. Contigo provided the turnkey solution for market entry, as well as the system implementation and configuration.

E.ON UK

E.ON UK Retail use enTrader to manage the wholesale Energy Purchasing of UK Gas and Power for their Corporate and Mass Market demand. A full Retail Portfolio Management module has been added to enTrader to help Retail energy companies manage their demand, Hedging and wholesale purchasing to ensure they can meet their customer’s energy demand in the most cost effective manner.

Centrica

British Gas Business chose enTrader to manage the trading of Power and Gas to meet the demand of their major customers who have flexible contracts. enTrader allows BGB to manage these individual flexible customers and transact trades with Centrica Trading and allows comprehensive contract validation and portfolio management for each customer.

Barking Power

In 2010, Barking moved from long term contracted PPA agreements to a merchant operation, requiring a more dynamic trading operation. They required an ETRM that could meet these challenges and be implemented within a short timescale. Barking chose enTrader to manage their Gas, Power and Carbon trading. enTrader manages the full trading lifecycle from trade entry, valuation and settlement. The software was implemented ahead of schedule in a matter of weeks.

RWE npower

RWE had an ageing legacy application to manage their physical fuel deliveries. Contigo’s enTrader Logistics was selected as providing the most comprehensive solution across contract managements, delivery planning, vessel scheduling, fuel stock accounting, and settlement invoicing. A comprehensive customisation and reporting suite complemented the standard enTrader product, and helped meet RWE’s exacting requirements for Fuel logistics management.

Drax Power

Drax selected Contigo’s enTrader Logistics for Fuel Portfolio management, handling the entire fuel purchasing lifecycle from planning and ordering, through vessel and delivery management, and fuel consumption and settlement invoicing. With the added capability of complex contract management, formula-based pricing, and the need to interface to a variety of 3rd party systems, enTrader provided an excellent 'fit' with the requirements.

First Utility

First Utility selected enTrader to manage both their retail and wholesale trading portfolio, and enVoy to manage data flows with the UK Power market operator, Elexon.

Wingas UK

Wingas purchased Contigo's enVoy Interruption product to provide them with the capability to manage the process around bids for gas interruption, and handle all xoserve data flows related to Interruption Reform.

GdF Suez

GdF has purchased Contigo's enVoy Interruption product which provides it with the capability to manage the process around bids for gas interruption, and handle all xoserve data flows related to Interruption Reform.

SSE

Contigo have developed a number of bespoke solutions for Scottish and Southern Energy who are one of the largest energy companies in the UK. Supplying electricity and gas to 8 million homes and businesses throughout Britain under the brands of SWALEC, Southern Energy and Scottish Hydro Electric.

Scotia Gas Networks

SGN engaged Contigo to write the software to manage the whole auction process. Contigo used their combined expertise of energy industry knowledge, rapid software application development approach, proven Jazz Framework libraries, and mathematical optimisation capability, to develop a solution to handle the entire process in a single, integrated Auction Management System (AMS).
