In 2010, Barking moved from long term contracted PPA agreements to a merchant operation, requiring a more dynamic trading operation. They required an ETRM that could meet these challenges and be implemented within a short timescale.   Barking chose enTrader to manage their Gas, Power and Carbon trading.  enTrader manages the full trading lifecycle from trade entry, valuation and settlement. The software was implemented ahead of schedule in a matter of weeks.

Barking Power Station is an independently operated gas-fired station, based on the north bank of the river Thames at Dagenham. The plant operates a single 1,000MW CCGT, which can provide 2% of the UK’s electricity at peak output.
